Full Harvest

This year the hubby and I tried our hand at a small veggie garden, and it was far from a fruitless labor. We spent the entire summer passing cucumbers and tomatoes out to all of our neighbors which turned out to be an excellent way to break the ice with some folks we hadn’t spoken to much before. Who knew fresh vegetables could also aid in growing new friendships. It was a summer full of blessings.

Garden Fresh

My husband and I tried our hand at growing a few vegetables this summer and, though our cucumbers never fully matured (likely due to poor fertilization), we were blessed with an abundant and juicy harvest of cherry tomatoes. There’s nothing quite like homegrown vegetables and we’ve struggled to return to store bought produce as the season turns colder. We can’t wait until next year when we plan to go all in for a full veggie garden.

To Isengard!

I can’t help laughing every time I glance out our kitchen window and see that our tomato plants have shot up another couple of inches. We’re trying our hand at some light gardening this year. The vegetables are getting so tall that I fear if we’re not careful the they’re liable to start befriending hobbits and marching on Orthanc. Hopefully they’ll kindly bless us with a good harvest before they set out on the war path.
