I hope everyone is getting to frolic in the snow this Christmas season as we turn toward the new year.

It is officially December and time for snowflakes and warm woolen mittens. Over the course of my first 21 years in Colorado, I have completely and hopelessly fallen in love with white Christmases in the mountains. No matter how dry of a winter we had, there always seemed to be a little extra magic on Christmas day that blessed our home with a fluffy white blanket.

Hopefully you get to enjoy a beautiful turkey feast this weekend and spend time with your favorite people. Happy Thanksgiving from the Indiana Dunes! Have a blessed day.

As the winter chill blows in I can recall the warm evening breeze on summer walks through the neighborhood with my husband. Here is a bouquet from one such evening to brighten your day.

This photo was snapped by one of my parents on one of many bright morning family hikes up Red Mountain. It’s a view I grew up falling in love with and I feel so blessed that I get to return to it nearly every year.

Today’s photos were captured on a couple of crisp autumn hikes out in the Indiana wilderness. It felt as though we’d stepped into an magical elven kingdom of gold and silver. Nearly every two minutes I had to stop to snap a picture in awe of all that God created.

Today’s photos come to you from a beautiful sunny Saturday at County Line Orchard spent apple picking and soaking in God’s blessings.

In addition to being newly and devoutly Catholic, I’m also constantly amazed by all the color and beauty in the world, particularly in nature. I grew up hiking and camping in Colorado and Utah and developed an amateur photography habit over the years in an effort to capture all the everyday miracles that God has blessed my life with. I hope these moments brighten your day with the same joy that I felt when collecting them. Today’s photos are some irresistible fall blooms that caught my eye on a cool evening stroll with my husband.
